Librarian Director Lisa Marshall has been at the library since the summer of 2000. Lisa grew up in California, Missouri and has fond memories of the old Wood Place Library. Along with her husband and son, she now resides on a small farm in the Jamestown area. Lisa enjoys helping both children and adults with finding books and using the library’s computers. She is in charge of ordering books, scheduling exhibits and other special events, and library administration.

Library Clerk, Judy Borghardt, joined the library staff in the fall of 2006. She is in charge of the circulation desk and enjoys providing library services for the community.

Many volunteers help to staff the library. Their assistance is invaluable and they tell us it’s a rewarding task. We could always use a few more volunteers to help with staffing as well as special events, so give Lisa a call if you are interested in helping.

Susie Crawford works part time and makes time in her busy schedule to help out at the library. Susie has school age kids, so she’s a good one to tell you what’s popular for older kids to read these days.

Marion Gish is a retired librarian and the Wood Place Public Library is lucky to have her devote quite a bit of her time here. You’ll usually see her at the library on Tuesdays and Fridays when she’s not camping with her husband or helping at school or working with one of her clubs.

Some of us are so busy, we can only find time to get to the library on Saturdays. You can thank Gloria Longan for running the library many Saturdays after she’s worked a full week.

Naomi Pearson knows that our community appreciates having the library open two evenings a week. And you’ll see her here often on Tuesday evenings.

Outreach Coordinator, Linda Prior took over the library's summer reading program, adult education programming and other outreach activities in the summer of 2006.

Jeannie Lahman is in charge of the library’s after school homework help program during the school year and often helps out with summer reading programs at the library. Jeannie is also a regular substitute teacher in area schools and a “Parents as Teachers” coordinator, so you may have seen her smiling face in places other than the library!

Clarice Alexander is a retired school teacher and you can count on her to give you good advice with your homework. You’ll often find Clarice helping out on a Wednesday afternoon.

Ruby Anderson is the library’s foster grandma. In addition to providing a once a week storytime on Wednesday’s at 1:00, Ruby helps shelve books and is extremely popular with the youngest children that visit the library. You can always count on Grandma Ruby to have time to read to or along with your youngster. She is at the library from 10 to 3 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Many Wednesday mornings you’ll see Norma Porter running the circulation desk. Norma is retired and cheerfully takes on extra hours at the library when we end up short-handed.

Gwen Fletcher not only serves as a library board member, but also helps out at the circulation desk almost every Thursday. In the past she helped set up our distance learning program and has helped with many fundraisers as well.

Jerri Korenberg keeps busy at home training her much loved Arabian horses and also spends lots of time with her grandchildren, but makes time to help out at the library on Monday mornings. During the summer and for special events, Jerri’s granddaughter Leah often also helps out at the library.

The 2008 board members are: Kristin Imhoff, President; Sharon Smith, Vice President; Marion Gish, Secretary; Shirley Elliott, Treasurer; Jerri Korenberg, Norman Rohrbach and Carolyn Miller.
